Job summary

Integrated Power Services in Paramount, CA is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. You will install, align, and test AC/DC motors and related machinery, ensuring performance meets OEM specifications and safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment, strong measurement and diagnostic skills, and excellent customer communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or rotating equipment.
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving in a fast-paced, continuous-improvement environment.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.
• Valid Driver’s License; willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends.
• PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments and set tolerances to OEM specs.
• Use precision measuring tools to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
• Replace bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components using specialized tooling.
• Perform diagnostic tests with portable equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvents.
• Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or in a team.
