Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft (Rotary Wing) Technical Inspector to ensure aircraft maintained to required specifications and airworthiness before operation. You will inspect repairs and modifications of aircraft structures and engines for complex to extreme difficulty.

The role involves planning and supervising inspections, implementing quality control and safety programs, and evaluating personnel. A valid FAA A&P license and IA are required along with US citizenship for credentials.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent aircraft maintenance experience.
• One year experience performing technical inspections on rotary wing aircraft.
• A valid and up-to-date FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• A Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) or five years as helicopter inspector.
• US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections.
• Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure contract compliance.
• Evaluates personnel, including verification of skills, training and experience.
• Performs audits and inspections of work centers and maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities.
• Makes entries in aircraft logs and records.
