Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Quality Control Inspector to ensure airworthiness and compliance with 14 CFR parts and other FAA/DOD directives. The role involves inspecting mechanics’ work, applying technical knowledge to verify equipment installation, and guiding junior technicians across inspections and maintenance tasks.

Minimum requirements include CBP suitability clearance (US citizenship), a High School Diploma, 5 years in aircraft maintenance, and a valid A&P license with FAA IA.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
• Five years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Valid A&P license is required.
• Valid FAA IA is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the work of Aircraft Mechanics performing maintenance, repairs and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with 14 CFR Parts 43, 91 and 125, FAA/DOD regulations, OEM instructions and CBP directives.
• Review and approve maintenance procedures and repairs.
• Perform in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional tests.
• Maintain logs and records and provide guidance to junior technicians.
