Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Quality Control Inspector to ensure aircraft meet 14 CFR Parts 43, 91 and 125 and all FAA and DOD requirements and are airworthy before operation. You will inspect mechanics' work, review procedures, and maintain logs and calibration records.

The role requires five years of aircraft maintenance experience, A&P and FAA IA licenses, and the ability to obtain CBP suitability clearance. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Valid Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License.
• Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
• Ability to obtain government flight line driver’s license.
• Possess a valid United States driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret data.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the work of Aircraft Mechanics performing maintenance, repairs, and modifications to aircraft structures, engines, electrical, avionics and subsystems.
• Apply technical knowledge to determine proper equipment installation and operation.
• Assist maintenance with complex problems using manuals and blueprints.
• Maintain logs and records and guide lower-level technicians on aircraft modifications and maintenance.
• Perform quality, safety, and functional inspections and tests during maintenance and repair of military aircraft.
