Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking Combination Welders with Rope Access (IRATA/SPRAT Level I–III) in the Houston, TX area. The role involves laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated components to assemble tanks, pressure vessels, pipes, and structural parts.

Non-exempt; reports to Foreman; duties follow defined procedures with frequent checks. Essential qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, IRATA/SPRAT certification, welder certification, pass weld test, and ability to work at

Qualifications

• IRATA/SPRAT Level 1–3 certification required.
• Welder certification required.
• Must be able to pass a weld test before hire.
• Capacity to work at height.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• CPR certification required.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and policy acknowledgment.
• Comply with safety requirements at job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform rope-access welding and maintenance tasks in challenging access areas.
• Lay out, fit, and weld components for tanks, vessels, pipes, and structures.
• Weld using processes such as arc, TIG, and other specified methods.
• Set up equipment, inspect parts, and ensure proper alignment for welding.
• Follow supervisor directions and document work performed.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform duties with attention to hazards and PPE.
