Job summary

Turner Industries in Baton Rouge, LA seeks NCCER credentialed Pipefitters with Rope Access levels I–III to join our field teams. This non-exempt role reports to a Foreman and supports maintenance, repair, and installation of boilers, tanks, vessels, exchangers, and heaters according to blueprints.

Candidates must hold NCCER and IRATA/SPRAT certifications, TWIC card, CPR, and a HS diploma or equivalent, with ability to read drawings, use tape measures, and work at height.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• IRATA/SPRAT Level 1–3 certification required.
• TWIC card required.
• Must possess NCCER certification.
• Ability to read and interpret field drawings/engineering drawings.
• Capability to connect flanged pipe connections and use cross pattern bolting.
• Must read a tape measure and use framing square as applicable.
• Experience with power tools for pipe prep (cutting, welding, threading, bolting).
• Ability to work at height and operate safely with PPE; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use Industrial Rope Access methods to access and perform maintenance, repairs, and other tasks while suspended.
• Cut, thread, bend pipe and install fittings; join joints by various methods.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and piping; test for leaks.
