Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Combination Welder with Rope Access (Level I–III) for the Baton Rouge area. The role involves laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated components to assemble tanks, pressure vessels, and structural parts, often at height using rope access.

IRATA/SPRAT certification and a weld test are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. We offer a broad benefits package and expect candidates to pass a pre-employment drug screen and medical evaluation.

Qualifications

• Must have IRATA / SPRAT Level 1, 2, or 3 certification
• CPR certification
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen and medical evaluation
• Must be certified as a welder
• Ability to pass weld test before hire
• Must comply with site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety

Responsibilities

• Install, fit, and weld fabricated components to form tanks, pipes and structural parts
• Rig, access and work with industrial rope access methods in elevated or confined spaces
• Weld pipe (carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome) using arc, heliarc, TIG, and related processes
• Prepare layouts, alignments, and tack weld parts for final welding
• Demonstrate safe work practices and maintain equipment at height during operations
