Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Rope Access Tech I in Houston, TX. This entry-level position supports rope access operations under supervision, ensuring safety and timely completion of tasks.

The role requires IRATA/SPRAT Level 1 certification, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel and work overtime as needed. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, assisting in setup, reporting hazards, and maintaining training records.

Qualifications

• IRATA/SPRAT Level 1 Certification is required, including theory, equipment, rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Demonstrates willingness to learn, collaborate, and adapt to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned rope access tasks under supervision.
• Inspect rope access equipment and systems for safety before use.
• Set up rope access equipment as directed by Lead RAT.
• Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions promptly.
• Record inspection results as directed.
• Safely ascend, descend, and maneuver on ropes.
