Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking Rope Access Inspectors to support field operations with NDE, API inspections, and advanced access techniques in elevated or confined areas.

The role requires SPRAT or IRATA certification and 1–3 years of inspection experience in refining or energy environments, with travel regionally or nationally.

You will collaborate with site leads, engineers, and integrity teams to deliver code-compliant results while upholding TEAM’s safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• SPRAT or IRATA Certification (Level I or II depending on role scope).
• 1–3 years of experience performing inspections in refining, petrochemical, or energy environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, inspection terminology, and field safety practices.
• Physically capable of rope access duties, including climbing and extended work at height.
• Ability to travel regionally or nationally for projects.
• Background checks, TWIC, or site onboarding may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections at height using rope access per SPRAT/IRATA standards.
• Conduct NDT and/or API inspections on pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or structural components.
• Assist with installation of access systems, job rig-ups, and hazard assessments.
• Document findings using digital tools and standardized reporting.
• Interface with engineers and client representatives to clarify scope and report results.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, codes, and safety protocols.
• Participate in toolbox talks, pre-job planning, and safety audits.
• Maintain rope access and inspection gear and track certifications.
• Assist in equipment transfers, mobilizations, and site setup/teardown.
