Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Open and close Front Desk shifts and ensure completion of shift checklists.
• Run and review critical room operations reports.
• Understand Front Desk, Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Concierge operations.
• Operate department equipment and report malfunctions; ensure staff have supplies and uniforms.
• Understand night audit procedures and use reports for decision making.
• Comply with loss prevention policies and communicate performance expectations to staff.
• Handle employee questions and schedule staff to meet business demands.
• Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
• Verify room rates to maximize revenue opportunities and assist in budgeting.
