Job summary

One&Only Moonlight Basin, part of Kerzner International, invites Rooms Interns to gain exposure across Connectivity (Concierge), Front Office, Host (Guest Services) and Housekeeping. You will help deliver a five‑star guest experience while learning the operations that shape luxury stays.

We seek current students or recent graduates from a university hospitality program, available for a minimum 3 months. A professional, guest‑focused approach, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Must be a current student or a recent graduate (within 2 years) of a university hospitality program.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum 3-month (90-day) internship.
• Prior working experience in hospitality is strongly preferred.
• Professional, polished, and positive guest-focused approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to Connectivity (Concierge), Front Office, Host (Guest Services), and Housekeeping operations.
• Support guest services from pre-arrival planning through departure with personalized itineraries and recommendations.
• Assist with reservations, confirmations, modifications, and cancellations across departments.

Job Summary

Rooms Interns will gain exposure to One&Only Moonlight Basin's diverse Rooms operations, with opportunities to experience the Connectivity (Concierge), Front Office, Host (Guest Services), and Housekeeping areas. These individuals will develop an understanding of the many facets of the guest experience, both operationally and administratively. Through this experience, Interns will gain a well-rounded perspective of luxury Rooms operations while contributing to the seamless delivery of a five-star guest experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Connectivity (Concierge):

• Maintain a strong knowledge of resort services, the local area, and key experiences
• Manage the guest experience from pre-arrival planning through departure by assisting with personalized itineraries and recommendations
• Provide thoughful recommendations for local attractions, dining spots, shopping sites, outdoor activities, and cultural experienced based on individual guest preferences
• Assist with Food & Beverage, Recreation, and Wellness reservations, including confirmations, modifications, and cancellations
• Ensure guest profiles are curated and communication across all appropriate departments across the resort
• Follow through on guest requests from initial inquiry through completion, ensuring a high level of service throughout the process

Front Office:

• Support the guest arrival and departure processes, including check-in and check-out procedures using the resort's Property Management System (PMS)
• Support pre-arrival preparations by reviewing guest profiles, preferences, and requests to help deliver a personalized arrival experience
• Engage with guests with professionalism, polish, and genuine hospitality
• Respond promptly and thoughtfully to guest inquiries, request, and concerns, escalating issues appropriately when needed
• Assist with guest recovery efforts, learning how to address service concerns with empathy, discretion, and follow-through
• Develop an understanding of room inventory management, rate structures, packages, and promotions, billing procedures, and folio management
• Collaborate with the Connectivity (Concierge), Host (Guest Services), and Housekeeping teams to communicate room updates, guest needs, and special requests

Host (Guest Services):

• Maintain a strong understanding of resort amenities, services, offerings, and daily operations to confidently give guests accurate information
• Escort guests throughout the resort, including providing property orientations and luggage services
• Fulfill guest requests by coordinating and delivering amenities and other-in room needs
• Coordinate guest transportation, parking, and other logistical arrangements
• Respond to guest concerns with urgency, partnering with appropriate departments to facilitate effective resolution
• Anticipate guest needs, identifying opportunities to offer personalized services that exceed expectations
• Participate in guest room and public area inspections, evaluating spaces against luxury cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards
• Assist with the preparation and organization of daily room assignment reports
• Monitor housekeeping supplies through inventory management
• Coordinate turndown services, special room setups, and amenity deliveries
• Develop an understanding of housekeeping procedures, including room status updates, lost and found procedures, and guest laundry services

Other:

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Housekeeping or other members of management

Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements

• Must be a current student or a recent graduate (within 2 years) of a university hospitality program
• Must be able to commit to a minimum 3-month (90-day) internship
• Prior working experience in hospitality is strongly preferred
