Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Honolulu is seeking a Rooms Manager to assist in managing Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications, and Reservations. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in hotel operations or 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Proficient with Windows and Office tools.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests promptly and ensure satisfaction.
• Coach, counsel and discipline Rooms Division staff according to SOPs.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring; support HR with recruiting.
• Develop employee morale and provide training for Rooms Division staff.
• Maximize room revenue and monitor occupancy and rate variance.
• Attend and contribute to Rooms Division meetings; assist in forecasts.
