Job summary

Highgate Hotels Waikiki Beach is seeking a Rooms Manager to assist in management of Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications, Reservations, delivering quality service while maximizing revenue.

The role requires at least 5 years in hospitality with supervisory experience; strong communication skills; and proficiency in Windows and MS Office, with the ability to lead teams and train staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a 4-year college degree with at least 1 year of related experience, or a 2-year degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications, Reservations in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner.
• Respond to guest requests and issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline Rooms Division personnel per Highgate SOPs.
• Assist in interviewing and HR recruitment procedures; support managers in interviews and hiring.
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of Rooms Division personnel.
• Maintain professional relationships and open communication with managers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with Highgate SOPs in Rooms and Loss Prevention.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of public areas and guestrooms to maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards.
