Job summary

Highgate Hotels L.P. seeks a Director of Rooms to oversee Guest Services, Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications and Reservations with a focus on delivering quality service and maximizing room revenue.

The role requires managing managers and staff, driving standards, and ensuring profitability through effective forecasting, budgeting, and labor management. Strong hospitality leadership and operational discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience.
• Previous management experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Long hours sometimes required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of Guest Services, Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications and Reservations to maximize room revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Lead recruitment, training and development of Rooms Division staff.
• Monitor revenue, occupancy, and rate variance; prepare forecasts and budgets.
