Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks a Director of Rooms to lead Guest Services, Concierge, Housekeeping and related departments, ensuring attentive, friendly service that maximizes room revenue. You will develop managers and staff while upholding Highgate standards and SOPs.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and forecasting skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and operating efficiency in a full-service hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years progressive hotel or related experience; or a 4-year college degree with 2+ years related experience; or a 2-year degree with 4+ years related experience.
• Previous management experience required.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications and Reservations to maximize guest satisfaction and room revenue.
• Lead recruiting, training and performance reviews for Rooms Division staff.
• Monitor room revenue, occupancy and rate variance; prepare monthly forecasts and budgets.
