Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is looking for a Rooms Director to oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, and related Rooms Division functions. The role involves stabilizing operations, developing leaders, and driving improvements to guest satisfaction and associate engagement.

As a member of the executive team, you will mentor leaders, manage performance, and ensure brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences across a large, full-service property.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive hotel/resort experience in full-service properties over 500 rooms.
• Experience in Rooms Division including Housekeeping and Front Desk.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and service orientation.
• Ability to mentor leaders and drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Rooms Operations & Guest Experience – Manage front office, housekeeping, laundry, reservations, and guest services to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
• Develop Leaders & Strengthen the Division – Mentor, coach, and develop department leaders while building a culture of accountability, professional growth, and team collaboration.
• Lead & Develop Staff – Hire, train, and guide department managers and team members while maintaining standards, safety, and compliance.
• Manage Performance & Technology – Control budgets, optimize occupancy and revenue metrics, and oversee property systems to support efficient operations and readiness for disruptions.
• Drive Solutions & Operational Improvement – Approach challenges with persistence and creativity, working through operational issues until the right solutions are identified and implemented.
