Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Director of Rooms to lead the Rooms Division across Front Office, Housekeeping and Laundry. You will partner with the GM and executive team on strategic initiatives and run performance management for all Rooms operations.

Bring 5+ years of progressive hotel/resort leadership in full-service properties, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, safety, and standards. This role participates on the Executive Committee and drives energy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive hotel/resort experience in full-service properties over 500 rooms.
• Extensive Rooms Division experience in Housekeeping and Front Desk.
• Broad understanding of the tourism industry and day-to-day resort operations.
• Leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front office, housekeeping, laundry, and guest services to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
• Maximize guest service scores and opportunities within the Rooms Division.
• Hire, train, and lead department managers and team members while maintaining standards, safety, and compliance.
• Control budgets, optimize occupancy and revenue metrics, oversee property systems, and prepare for operational disruptions.

Director of Rooms

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Director of Rooms. In this role, you’ll oversee the operation of the Front Office (Valet, Bell Staff, Concierge, Front Desk, Emerald Lounge), Housekeeping and Laundry. You will work closely with the General Manager and AGM on special projects and assignments. You’ll also be responsible for the management, evaluation, and performance of all Rooms Division functions, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Common Area, Laundry, Concierge, PBX, and Bell Staff/Shuttle/Valet Service.

Assist in making their day as enjoyable as you do for our guests! This position will be on the Executive Committee.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee front office, housekeeping, laundry, and guest services to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
• The Director of Rooms is responsible for maximizing guest service scores and opportunities within the Division.
• Hire, train, and lead department managers and team members while maintaining standards, safety, and compliance.
• Control budgets, optimize occupancy and revenue metrics, oversee property systems, and maintain readiness for operational disruptions.

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of progressive hotel/resort experience in full-service properties over 500 rooms.
• Extensive Rooms Division experience in Housekeeping and Front Desk.
• Have a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day functions of all aspects of a resort.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
