Job summary

Washington-Duke-Inn- in Durham, NC is seeking a polite Room Service Server to deliver food and beverages to guest rooms and maintain service standards.

Responsibility includes recording orders, using a POS, setting up trays, ensuring cleanliness, handling guest feedback, and supporting other restaurant areas as needed. Must be able to lift 35 pounds and stand/walk for long periods. Growth opportunities and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year of room service server or related experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Regular walking/standing; good English communication and guest interaction skills.

• Sets up tables and trays to assigned specifications.
• Maintains the proper guest scenario when entering/exiting guest rooms.
• Removes all soiled supplies from guest rooms and ensures the appropriate breakdown in the dishwasher area.
• Ensures cleanliness of area at all times.
• Refers communications, guest feedback and any potential or real guest dissatisfaction to the Manager.
• Assists in other areas of the restaurant as needed.
