Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Room Service Server for the Hilton in Harrisburg, PA.

TO DELIVER AND SERVE FOOD AND/OR BEVERAGE ITEMS IN A FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS AND TIMELY MANNER RESULTING IN GUEST SATISFACTION. The position requires basic knowledge of service standards and the ability to carry trays up to 50 lbs, with flexibility to work varied shifts in a seven-day operation.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings, serviceware and menu items.
• Ability to read, speak and write English to communicate with guests.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs continuously.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up room service trays and tables in anticipation of incoming orders.
• Retrieve check, set table and pick up order; ensure complete order before delivering.
• Carry trays up to 30 lbs or push carts to deliver orders; present check and obtain payment.
• Remove trays and tables from guest floors and return to designated locations.
• Prepare complimentary fruit baskets for guest rooms.
• Attend mandatory meetings and uphold hospitality standards.
• Deliver room service orders in a professional manner and perform side-work.
