Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Room Service Server for the Hilton in Harrisburg, PA.

Positions Summary

TO DELIVER AND SERVE FOOD AND/OR BEVERAGE ITEMS IN A FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS AND TIMELY MANNER RESULTING IN GUEST SATISFACTION.

Essential Job Duties

• 15% - Set up room service trays and tables in anticipation of incoming orders.
• 30% - Retrieve check from order taker, set table and pick up order from kitchen or bar. Ensure order is complete with all required items.
• 30% - Carry trays up to 30 lbs. or push wheeled carts to deliver room service orders to guests, presenting check and obtaining payment for closing.
• 10% - Remove trays and tables from guest floors and return them to designated locations.
• 10% - Prepare complimentary fruit baskets and deliver to guest rooms.

Other Duties

• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Deliver room service orders in a professional manner.
• Perform assigned sidework such as replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Assimilate into the Hilton family pride/care culture, supporting and participating in all elements of pride/care.
• Work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
• Provide hospitable service throughout the 24/7 operation.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings, serviceware and menu items.
• Ability to read, speak and write English to communicate with guests.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. continuously.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.
