Job Summary

The Room Service Ambassador assists patients with menu selections, ensuring meals are provided according to physician-prescribed diets, allergies, and preferences, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum

Basic keyboard skills and telephone etiquette.

Preferred

• Experience in food service, customer service, or patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service during menu selection.
• Take food orders over the phone.
• Enter and update patient meal selections and information electronically.
• Adjust menu choices based on allergies, meal patterns, and preferences.
• Troubleshoot issues affecting patient satisfaction with food service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Stand occasionally; sit and walk as needed.
• Bend, crawl, crouch, kneel, stoop, or reach overhead occasionally.
• Lift and carry up to 10 lbs; push and pull up to 10 lbs.
• Use hands to touch, handle, or feel occasionally.
• Talk and hear; taste or smell never required.
• Work inside a medical facility environment with moderate physical activity.
• Visual requirements include depth perception; none otherwise specified.
