Salary is up to £33,000 per year, with benefits and development opportunities. DBS checks and right-to-work verification apply, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or similar experience is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
• Confidence in leading, supporting and motivating a room team.
• Creative approach to planning engaging learning experiences.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Strong communication with colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day running of your room.
• Lead and support practitioners to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Create experiences that encourage creativity, curiosity and exploration.
• Make the most of the nursery’s sensory areas, story spaces and wider learning environment.
• Incorporate outdoor play and discovery into children’s everyday experiences.
• Observe children’s development and plan meaningful next steps.
• Support children’s independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive partnerships with parents and carers.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and room organisation.
• Help establish a positive team culture as the new nursery grows and develops.
