Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or similar experience is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
• Confidence in leading, supporting and motivating a room team.
• Creative approach to planning engaging learning experiences.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Strong communication with colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day running of your room.
• Lead and support practitioners to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Create experiences that encourage creativity, curiosity and exploration.
• Make the most of the nursery’s sensory areas, story spaces and wider learning environment.
• Incorporate outdoor play and discovery into children’s everyday experiences.
• Observe children’s development and plan meaningful next steps.
• Support children’s independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive partnerships with parents and carers.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and room organisation.
• Help establish a positive team culture as the new nursery grows and develops.

A new nursery is a chance to build something special from the beginning – creating the routines, relationships and room culture that children will experience every day.

This beautifully designed new setting blends a modern Early Years environment with a warm, homely atmosphere. Bright and inspiring rooms have been thoughtfully created to encourage creativity, curiosity and connection, with everything from sensory play areas to cosy reading areas giving children different ways to explore, engage and unwind.

Outside, a dedicated playground extends learning into the fresh air, providing space for active play, exploration and discovery while encouraging children to follow their natural curiosity.

As Room Leader, you’ll take ownership of your room, supporting your team to bring these spaces to life and creating an environment where children feel secure, confident and excited to learn.

What We’re Looking For
