Job summary

Only About Children Charlemont is seeking a confident Room Leader to guide a nurturing room environment, coordinating learning programs and family communication. You will lead routines, ensure safety, and support educators to deliver high-quality practice in a calm, connected setting.

You will bring a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher, plus experience leading a room. A strong understanding of EYLF/NQF and necessary safety qualifications is essential to this role.

Qualifications

• Leadership and mentoring experience in a room or team.
• Understanding of EYLF, NQF, child safety and inclusive practice.
• Registered training with First Aid, CPR and asthma/anaphylaxis qualifications.

About Our Charlemont Campus

At Charlemont, my campus is beginning a brand-new story. I arrive in the Geelong region, at a new purpose-built campus on Batten Road with six rooms, new resources and a big outdoor yard made for children like me. Everything is being shaped with care from the start. I can learn in spaces for nursery, toddler and kindergarten children, with room to move, wonder and belong. New routines, friendships and traditions can grow here. This is a place where my ideas can be noticed from the beginning and my confidence can grow with the community.

About The Role

I need a room where the grown-ups work together. As Room Leader, you will guide learning, routines, safety, family communication and educator support so children's days feel calm and connected.

What You'll Bring

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Experience leading a room or team.
• Understanding of the EYLF, NQF, child safety and inclusive practice.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
• Confidence managing room priorities, families and quality expectations.
• A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.
