Job summary

Guardian Westgarth is seeking an Assistant Centre Director to join the leadership team and guide educators, families and children in a thriving early childhood setting.

You will work closely with the Centre Director to foster a safe, curious and inclusive learning environment, champion high-quality education and strengthen community connections.

Qualifications

• Completed Diploma in Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Education (or working towards).
• Experience in a long day-care centre in a senior or leadership role.
• Knowledge of NQF and EYLF.
• Budget and financial accountability experience.
• Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates, and Working with Children check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Leadership Team to create a safe and secure environment for children.
• Build lasting relationships with families so they feel informed and confident in their children’s education and care.
• Support a culture of quality and safety that makes Guardian the centre of choice in the community.
• Contribute to Guardian's mindsets of being brave, positive, thoughtful, and professional in all aspects of work.

To be considered, you will have:

• A completed Diploma in Children's Services and/or Bachelor of Education (or working towards)


• Prior experience working in a long day-care centre in a senior or leadership role.


• Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF.


• Budget and financial accountability experience


• Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, and current Working with Children check.
