Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant to support our housekeeping team. The role involves cleaning guest rooms and public areas to Sonesta standards, with responsibilities including bed making, cleaning bathrooms, and handling laundry tasks.

The position requires prior housekeeping experience and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; English language skills are preferred to assist guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Extended stay industry experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Clean and service rooms and public spaces according to standards; handle bathrooms, beds, surfaces, and waste.
• Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied.
• Assist with laundry duties: operate washers/dryers, manage linens, report damages.
• Maintain waste minimization and assist with deep cleaning projects when needed.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor; manage lost and found items.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other shifts and management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
