Fairmont Pittsburgh is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain guest rooms at a luxury, LEED-certified property in downtown Pittsburgh. The role focuses on creating a comfortable and inviting environment by cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

You will interact with guests and colleagues to ensure high service quality and guest satisfaction. Weekend availability is required, and the position offers growth opportunities within the hotel and Accor group,

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned guestrooms including dusting, making beds and replenishing supplies.

• Maintain proper usage of cleaning equipment and report issues.
• Update records of cleaned rooms and secure lost and found items.
• Provide friendly, professional service and teamwork with housekeeping staff.

Room Attendant (Housekeeping)

What You Will Be Doing:

• Clean all assigned guestrooms including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Update and record all cleaned rooms
• Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
• Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
• Report necessary maintenance issues
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Sign in and out master keys daily
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Weekend availability is required

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
