Job summary

SRS Building Products - North Charleston is seeking a Rooftop Loader to safely load, unload, and transport roofing materials on rooftops. You will follow OSHA safety guidelines and coordinate with drivers to ensure efficient material handling on outdoor sites.

The role requires physical fitness, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and comfort with heights. English communication is required; Spanish is a plus. Salary is hourly with benefits and potential overtime based on schedules.

Qualifications

OSHA safety guidelines knowledge.
English verbal and written communication required; Spanish a plus.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Forklift certification preferred.
Background checks and pre-employment drug test required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
Ensuring that all safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
Facilitate the safe and effective distribution of materials onto flat and sloped roofs as per company safety guidelines.
Operate conveyor belt systems (where trained and certified) to transport building materials from flatbed trucks to rooftops.
Accurately verify and reconcile material orders.
Provide exceptional service to roofing contractors.
Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
Work closely with drivers and other team members to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
