Job summary

SRS Building Products in Wayne, MI is seeking a rooftop material handler. You will load/unload roofing materials from trucks, transport them to rooftops, and ensure safety compliance at all times.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, assisting roofing contractors, and coordinating with drivers and teammates to keep loading and unloading efficient. OSHA/PPE adherence and outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• English proficiency in verbal and written form is required.
• Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks and pre-employment drug test.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Distribute materials onto flat and sloped roofs per safety guidelines.
• Operate conveyor belt systems (where trained) to transport materials to rooftops.
• Verify and reconcile material orders.
• Provide service to roofing contractors.
• Coordinate with drivers and teammates to optimize loading/unloading.
