Job summary

The Canopy by Hilton Grand Rapids Downtown in downtown Grand Rapids is seeking a Line Cook for Knoop Rooftop Bar atop the hotel. You will join a collaborative culinary team, preparing menu items to established recipes and standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to two years of experience in a culinary role preferred.
• Food Handler or ServSafe Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to recipes, production standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Assist with daily food preparation, station setup, and service execution.
• Maintain consistent food quality and portion control standards.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures.
• Ensure proper food temperatures and handling practices are maintained.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary and service teams to provide an excellent guest experience.
• Assist in other food and beverage operations as needed.
• Support departmental goals and initiatives established by the Executive Chef.
