Job summary

AHC Hospitality in Grand Rapids is seeking a Part-Time Line Cook to prepare meals for guests in our diverse portfolio of properties. You will set up your station, follow recipes, and ensure high standards of presentation and taste during dinner service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, punctuality, and adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Weekend availability is required, with benefits including employee meals and staff discounts across our hotels and dining venues.

Qualifications

• Strong basic cooking and knife handling skills.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge.
• 2+ years kitchen prep/line cook experience.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up station per restaurant guidelines.
• Prepare items sanitarily and timely.
• Follow recipes and portion controls.
• Restock items as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Operate kitchen equipment knowledge and care.
• Communicate with service staff and kitchen supervisors.
• Close kitchen per closing checklist.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen/Dinner Supervisor.
• Push/lift up to 10 pounds regularly; may lift 50+ pounds occasionally.
