SPEC Building Materials is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to own a territory and grow a key book of business with roofing contractors, both commercial and residential. You will be the go-to resource for SPEC products, pricing, and solutions, advancing relationships and driving revenue in a fast-paced field role.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, territory development, and achieving sales goals with an uncapped commission structure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years outside sales in building materials, roofing or construction.
• Established relationships with roofing contractors or ability to build them quickly.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to walk a job site and a boardroom.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to manage time and pipeline.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory and develop new accounts through prospecting and networking.
• Build long-term relationships with roofing contractors — commercial and residential.
• Promote and sell the complete SPEC product line, positioning the right products for each contractor.
• Meet and exceed territory sales goals — with a commission-based reward on sales above baseline.
• Serve as a trusted product expert — advising customers on SPEC building materials and services.
• Maintain vendor relationships to stay current on product developments, promotions, and market opportunities.
• Represent SPEC professionally in person, on the phone, and on the job site.
