SPEC Building Materials is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to own a roofing territory and grow relationships with commercial and residential contractors. You will represent the full SPEC product line, provide pricing and solutions, and generate new business while protecting existing accounts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales in building materials, roofing, or construction.
• Established relationships with roofing contractors or ability to build them quickly.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for job sites and boardrooms.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing time and pipeline.
• Solid negotiation and closing skills without damaging relationships.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Own territory — develop new accounts through prospecting, cold calling, and networking while growing existing customers.
• Build long-term relationships with roofing contractors — commercial and residential — provide products, pricing, and solutions.
• Aggressively promote and sell the full SPEC product line for each contractor’s project needs.
• Meet and exceed territory sales goals with a compensatory structure tied to performance.
• Serve as a trusted product expert on SPEC building materials, equipment, and services.
• Maintain vendor relationships to stay current on product developments and promotions.
