Job summary

R3 Roofing & Exteriors in Urbandale, IA is seeking an Outside Sales Representative 2 to manage company-provided appointments, perform property inspections, present roofing solutions, negotiate contracts, and guide customers through the sales process. Ideal candidates enjoy independent, performance-driven work and have a passion for sales; roofing experience helps but is not required.

Training starts last week of January 2027 with six weeks of paid training and then a 10% commission on total

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience preferred; roofing, construction, or home improvement experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a commission-based environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Willingness to learn and follow established sales processes.
• Physical ability to carry, set up, and safely climb ladders.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage company-provided appointments and generate additional leads through prospecting, referrals, and networking.
• Conduct property inspections to identify roofing, siding, and gutter damage.
• Document findings using photographs, damage reports, and applicable building codes.
• Present estimates, recommend solutions, and negotiate contracts.
• Maintain accurate customer records, follow-ups, and sales activity in the company CRM.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Meet established sales activity and performance expectations.
