Job description

We are seeking a motivated & energetic ROOFING ESTIMATOR to join our team.

The ideal candidate will obtain leads & convert them to clients through our four-step proven process. Perform roof inspections, provide estimates, and offer several options to customers via our Better, Best, Basic pricing strategy. Build strong relationships with customers through excellent communication, follow-up, & follow-through.

Work Environment & Schedule

GOLF or FISH in the morning, meet with customers in the afternoon! Create your own work schedule!

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform estimates for roof replacement with the goal of closing sales.
  2. Build rapport & trust with clients.
  3. Maintain relationships with professional partners for networking.
  4. Ensure all missed calls/messages are returned the same day for prompt follow-up.
  5. Convert leads to prospects via provided estimates.
  6. Utilize company-provided leads based on performance and availability.
  7. No door knocking required.
  8. Enter lead information into CRM, including notes, and ensure proper tagging.
  9. Research specialty items & sources prior to estimates.
  10. Provide roofing, color, style & payment options to prospects.
  11. Ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  12. Notify management of customer issues or concerns.
  13. Prepare postcards & letters for mailing campaigns.
  14. Execute marketing strategies and develop personal strategies in partnership with team lead.
  15. Understand jurisdiction permit requirements.
  16. Prepare & execute daily sales plans.
  17. Grow market share & maximize territory performance.
  18. Stay updated on roofing systems, installation requirements, trends, and product availability.
  19. Keep current on material pricing & availability.
  20. Accurately complete contracts & legal documents.
  21. Develop a personal process that aligns with SOPs.
  22. Attend weekly and scheduled meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of sales experience in any field; construction or industrial sales is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor, networking ability, and love for conversation.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire for customer satisfaction.
  • Strong grammar, verbal & written, and math skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a drive to sell.
  • Proven accuracy & emphasis on safety.
  • Sales tracking and analysis skills.
  • Competitive drive and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to climb ladders & walk roofs daily; work in confined spaces as required.
  • Ability to learn and use CRM software and manage jobs.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, organization, attention to detail, and positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
  • Ability to self-manage with minimal supervision.
  • Alignment with R.O.O.F.S values and mission.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs, and stand, sit, bend, twist, and move efficiently with accommodations if needed.
