Analyze customer technical specifications and clarify expected system performance.
Define the overall rolling stock architecture to meet customer and operational requirements.
Specify, design, and follow the development of train subsystems including traction drives, auxiliaries, bogies, braking systems, batteries, doors, HVAC, and auxiliary converters.
Coordinate and manage design activities with internal teams, external suppliers, and across engineering domains (mechanical, electrical, control-command, validation, etc.).
Define and specify subsystem functionalities while ensuring proper interface with the full train architecture.
Take into account RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety), EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), and operating safety aspects throughout the design and development phases.
Participate in the test definition and validation process using simulation tools, test benches, and static/dynamic train tests on test rings or customer tracks.
Ensure the validation and certification of subsystems, contributing to issue resolution and technical adjustments as needed.
Support project teams with technical expertise and interface directly with customers as required.
Contribute to R&D efforts focused on new energy solutions such as fuel cells and onboard energy storage, with an emphasis on energy efficiency.
