Responsibilities

1. Provides evaluation, engineering/design and implementation services for existing and new products, technologies and solutions to address corporate business requirements.
2. Demonstrates creativity and takes initiative in problem solving. Resolves or facilitates resolution of complex problems for assigned projects.
3. Works beyond the routine utilizing specialized knowledge and analysis of multiple variables.
4. Has a thorough and comprehensive mastery of supported platforms/products and environments.
5. Project assignments can be large in scope with high complexity.
6. Provide exceptional customer service and communication to CommonSpirit end users, Business Stakeholders and other members of CommonSpirit IT.
7. Participate in projects associated with the enhancement, upgrade or implementation of new or existing technology solutions.
8. Provide technical leadership and ownership of issues across multiple disciplines and technologies.
9. Assist with strategic planning activities (capacity planning, process improvement, maintenance, upgrade and end-of-life planning, roadmap development).
10. Identify automation opportunities and implement scripted solutions.
11. Identify technical innovation and process improvement opportunities.
12. Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive and ongoing release management and planning efforts.
13. Utilize standard tools and methodology to develop systems and support performance metrics.
14. Perform technical mentoring and cross training with other team members.
15. Demonstrate a basic knowledge & expertise with CommonSpirit business processes and routines.
16. Remote eligible.

Qualifications

1. BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline or equivalent experience is required.
2. 6-10 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field is required.
3. 2 + years’ experience working in a large complex networking environment architecting connectivity solutions is required.
4. 2+ years’ experience with complex Active Directory structures is required.
5. Advanced skill using Lucid and/or Visio is required.
6. Certifications focused on Network, Azure, Cyber Security, Storage, Database, Unix and/or VMWare are a plus.
7. Ability to develop and organize written documentation and procedures is required.
8. Ability to exercise good judgment in determining work and problem resolution priorities and approaches.
9. Strong conflict resolution skills.
10. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
11. Team player will work close in team environment.
12. Knowledge of VMWare.
13. Knowledge of SQL Server.
14. Knowledge of storage systems.
15. Established understanding of common operating systems Windows, Linux.
16. Established understanding of Infrastructure and relative technologies.
17. Established understanding of network connectivity and protocols.
18. Established understanding of storage related protocols (ISCSI, NFS, CIFS, NDMP).
19. Established understanding of SAN and NAS storage infrastructures (Netapp and EMC preferred).
20. Established understanding of storage networking infrastructures (Brocade, Cisco).
21. Established understanding of RAID levels and disk technologies.
