What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review requestor information to determine records to be released in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Answer phone calls regarding various Release of Information (ROI) issues.
- Process walk-in customer requests for medical records and log information into the ROI On-Line database.
- Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
- Scan medical records into the ROI On-Line database and ensure accurate logging of requests.

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of experience entering data into computer systems.
- Strong verbal communication skills and proven success in responding to customer inquiries.
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
- Attention to detail and a dependable work history.

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior work experience in Release of Information within a physician’s office or Health Information Management (HIM) Department.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
