The role involves data entry, scanning records, and occasional cash handling, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory adherence within a patient-records environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requester information per HIPAA guidelines and obtaining data from sources.
• Answer phone calls regarding ROI issues.
• Respond to walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process physician office requests on a priority basis and fax information.
• Log medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
