Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to provide on-site support for patient medical record requests. You will review requests, determine records to release, and ensure HIPAA compliance while handling data entry, logging, and scanning in the ROI On-Line system.

Responsibilities include answering ROI inquiries, assisting walk-ins and physician offices, logging and processing requests, and adhering to site policies. This position offers comprehensive benefits and a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience entering data into computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication skills; respond to customer inquiries.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven dependability in previous roles.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior ROI experience in a physician’s office or HIM is a plus.
• HIPAA knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA and obtain data from various sources.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process requests from physician offices and fax information when needed.
• Log and scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
