Job summary

MRO Corporation is seeking an ROI Specialist to support at client sites for Release of Information requests. You will review requests for HIPAA compliance, gather records from multiple sources, and log activity in the ROI On-Line system.

Responsibilities include answering ROI inquiries, processing patient requests and physician office requests, scanning records, and ensuring payments are recorded. Applicants should be detail-oriented and dependable.

Qualifications

• Proficient with computer applications; data entry experience; internet usage required.
• Able to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication; responds to customer inquiries.
• Attention to detail; dependable.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior ROI experience in a physician's office or HIM is a plus; HIPAA knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA and obtain data from various sources.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Respond to walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process requests from physician offices on a priority basis and fax information.
• Log medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
