MRO Corporation is seeking an ROI Specialist to provide support at client sites for release of information requests. You will determine records to be released, review requester information, and gather data from electronic, off-site, or physical records in accordance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience entering data into computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication skills; responding to customer inquiries.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependability and reliability.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior ROI experience in a physician’s office or HIM dept is a plus; HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines which records to release by reviewing requester information per HIPAA guidelines and locating data from electronic, off-site, or physical records.
• Answer phone calls regarding ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers requesting medical records and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process physician office requests and fax information as needed.
• Log and scan medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations; handle cash payments where required.
• Other duties as assigned.
