Job summary

MRO Corporation is seeking an ROI Specialist to provide on-site support for patient medical record requests under HIPAA guidelines. You will determine records to release by reviewing requester information and gathering data from electronic or physical sources.

You will handle inquiries by phone or in person, log requests, scan documents, and ensure compliance with site policies. Prior ROI office experience and HIPAA knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of data entry experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
• HIPAA regulations knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requester information per HIPAA.
• Answer phone calls about ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers requesting medical records and log data.
• Process physician office requests and fax information as needed.
• Log and scan medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
