Qualifications

• One or more years experience entering data into computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.

• Experience in ROI in a physician's office or HIM dept is a plus; HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA guidelines and obtaining patient data from various sources.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Respond to walk-in customers requesting medical records and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Respond and process requests from physician offices on a priority basis and fax information as needed.
• Logs medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Scans medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Complies with site facility policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
