Job summary

Datavant is seeking a detail-oriented Release of Information (ROI) Health Information Specialist to support a medical facility in Alexandria, VA. You will process medical record requests, ensure HIPAA compliance, and accurately release PHI in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will be organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced healthcare setting, and comfortable working with EMR systems. This is an onsite role with a Monday–Friday schedule and requires strong attention to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institute.
• Ability to commute between locations as needed.
• Willing to work overtime during peak seasons.
• Basic computer proficiency and office equipment use.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Detail-oriented and accurate handling of PHI.

Responsibilities

• Process ROI requests accurately and efficiently.
• Retrieve and compile medical records from EMR systems.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance when handling PHI.
• Pull and generate reports as needed.
• Perform administrative ROI tasks.
• Maintain organized tracking of requests.
• Communicate with healthcare staff, patients, and requestors.
• Provide coverage when onsite staff are out.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
