Job summary

ZEISS is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist in Dublin, CA to generate incremental revenue via inbound/outbound calls for service agreements and add-ons. You will contact buyers, present ROI, and close deals while collaborating with field sales to grow service business and renewals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 6–8 years of sales experience in medical capital equipment, strong negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency with Salesforce, Word, Excel, and Access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 6–8 years of demonstrated inside or outside sales experience, preferably in the medical capital equipment marketplace.
• Ability to effectively initiate and manage outbound/inbound sales calls.
• Ability to engage in consultative selling dialogue with emphasis on business impact (ROI).
• Excellent communication skills and professional telephone skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Solid time management and organizational skills with ability to follow through.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative, and ability to work unsupervised.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Contact purchasing point-of-contact, furnishes product cost benefits, ROI information and provides follow-up through close of sales to meet targets.
• Negotiates final pricing and terms with purchasing point-of-contact.
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication through business planning and customer presentations.
• Collaborates with field sales and service to drive new service business, renewals and warranty extensions.
• Assesses customer needs and proposes solutions to close sales.
• Forecasts business in a defined territory.
• Maintains CRM records of customer contacts.
• Provides updates to field sales and service regarding opportunities and concerns.
• Keeps records of win–loss sales events.
• Maintains knowledge of product offerings and promotions.
• Assists in developing training materials and tools.
• Meets/exceeds department call volume and metrics.
• Offers guidance to others and leads teams and projects.
• Promotes effective communication between field and in-house staff.
• Recommends changes to sales strategy based on feedback and lead generation.
