Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Engineering Manager, Rockets, to lead a multi-disciplinary team focused on solid rocket motor development from design through production scale-up for defense-critical propulsion capabilities.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering within the Voyager Energetics Engineering department and is onsite in Penrose, CO, with a transition to Pueblo, CO. Strong leadership and compliance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of solid rocket motor experience OR Master's with 3+ years, OR 9+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 15+ years hands-on solid rocket motor development and production experience including propellant formulation, grain design, and motor testing.
• 5+ years leading technical projects in regulated/defense environments and supervising multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering team across solid rocket motor design, propellant formulation, scale-up, and LRIP.
• Drive engineering strategy, planning, and resource allocation to meet performance, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Oversee development, review, and approval of engineering deliverables while enforcing processes and standards.
• Represent the engineering organization in reviews and foster safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
