Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Test Engineer in Redmond, WA to support vibration, hot fire, and component-level testing of rocket propulsion systems. The role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary testing in a vacuum chamber, with emphasis on data acquisition and control systems.

You will work with structural engineers and technicians to ensure rigorous vibration testing, plan test setups, analyze test data, and participate in emergency response processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Integration/Test experience; Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0–2 years; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of Integration/Test experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and evaluate test methods, procedures and equipment for testing systems and components.
• Conduct rocket engine vibration and hot firing tests in a vacuum chamber with proper data acquisition and control systems.
• Work with Structural engineering and technicians to drive rigor in vibration testing of rocket engines.
• Organize technician work force tasks to achieve test objectives.
• Assist in planning test setup requirements through reviews, meetings, and proposal inputs.
• Analyze engine test data and facility data for monitoring hardware and equipment.
