Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Rochester, NY, seeks a Senior Specialist, Integration/Test Engineering to join the Vibration Lab. You will design, develop, and execute vibration, modal, and static load tests on complex optical sensing spaceflight hardware, and lead test procedures and documentation.

The role offers opportunities for future leadership, requires a strong background in vibration test methods, and involves working in clean rooms and occasional shift work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum 10 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute complex Vibration, Modal, and/or Static Load tests.
• Analyze dynamic test requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Physically configure test instrumentation and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Work independently with limited supervision once acclimated to the role.
• Support multiple projects in various stages of readiness.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal form within and outside the function.
• Develop and execute procedures and document results.
• Work overtime, shift work (nights), extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Work in a clean room environment, including full clean room suits when required.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
