Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize production systems for solid rocket motors at Voyager Energetics. You will translate development processes into production, lead cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in an engineering discipline with 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related field OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience OR 9 years of hands-on experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience implementing and improving manufacturing processes, including SOPs and process specifications to production standards.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience with measurable results in yield, throughput, or defects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing systems, processes, and tooling for solid rocket motors and energetic materials while maintaining safety, quality, and reliability.
• Lead transition of processes from development/pilot to full production with gates and qualification criteria.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost, and throughput; monitor KPIs like yield and cycle time.
• Oversee production operations for assembly and energetic materials handling, coordinating with regulatory compliance and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation per production standards; train operations staff.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for planning, budgeting, and program milestones.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing Development, Safety, and Compliance to embed production practices across the product lifecycle.
